While connecting the Feit Electric bulb to Wi-Fi, it is important to ensure you have placed the devices nearby. It is also essential to have a solid internet connection, otherwise, your Feit Electric bulb won’t be able to register the remote commands given to it. 

To connect Feit Electric to Wi-Fi, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Install the “Feit Electric” App.
  • Create an account.
  • Add your Feit Electric bulb to the app.
  • Connect Feit Electric to Wi-Fi.   

Let’s go through these steps in detail: 

Step 1: Install the “Feit Electric” App.

First and foremost, go to the Google Play Store. In the search bar, at the top of your mobile screen, enter  “Feit Electric,” and press search. 

Once the official app appears on your screen, click on it, and press Install. 

You can install the app from the Apple Store if you are an iPhone user. 

Step 2: Create an account.

Once the app is installed on your mobile device, navigate to the app’s icon and open it. The app will ask you to enter your credentials to sign up for the app. You can also sign up with your existing Google or Apple ID. 

If not, all you have to do is enter your email and set a password for your Feit Electric app.

Step 3: Add your Feit Electric bulb to the app.

Once you have signed up, and gone through the initial steps, the home screen of the Feit Electric app will appear on your screen. 

Here, click on the + icon, or the “Add new device” option to add your device to the app. 

If Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile, it will automatically start looking for the feit electric device, and connect to it. 

Select your lightning device and model by clicking on the + icon next to it. 

At this point, set up your bulb into the light fixture you want to use and switch on your bulb. Once it is switched on, your bulb should pause for a moment, and start blinking rapidly, once that happens, your phone is ready to be connected. 

If it doesn’t start blinking rapidly, switch OFF/ON your bulb thrice.  

Step 4: Connect Feit Electric to Wi-Fi.

That’s it, now all you have to do is connect your mobile to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, enter your Wi-Fi name and password, and tap confirm. 

A status window will appear on your screen and show the progress towards the connection. 

When the connection is successful, you will get a notification on your screen saying Device added successfully.  

You can also connect the Feit Electric to Wi-Fi using the EZ mode, to do that, follow these steps: 

  1. Once you have installed the app, open it. 
  2. Once on the Home page, click on the + icon or add device option. It is located at the top right corner of the screen. 
  3. Go to the left panel of the menu, and click Lighting, next, click Lightning device.
  4. Now go to the top right corner of the screen, open the drop-down menu, and click on the EZ mode. Next, press Confirm, and then next to continue. 
  5. At last, connect your mobile to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, enter your Wi-Fi name and password, and tap confirm.

You can also use this method if you want to add multiple bulbs at once, or if the Bluetooth method isn’t working. 

You can also rename your bulb by clicking on the pen icon next to your device’s name. 

How To Fix Feit Electric Can’t Connect to Wi-Fi? Try These 

Though the steps are simple and easy to follow, a small mistake can cause obstructions while you are connecting the device. So, before you start setting up the devices, ensure the following:

  1. Your router is set to broadcast a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi SSID password is needed during the setup process, have it at your fingertips.
  2. Disable Virtual Private Network (VPN) on your mobile device. The same goes for Ad-guard or Adblocker.
  3. The smartphone or tablet should be connected to the same network you are attempting to pair your device with.
  4. The Feit and mobile devices should be close to the router for maximum signal strength. The devices should be within your Wi-Fi network range.
  5. You can also reset the bulb to fix any hitch you might be facing while connecting the devices. To reset the bulb, just switch it off/on three times and then restart the connecting process.
